Very impressive Solid Silver 19th century Table Snuff Box featuring couples dancing, cherubs playing instruments. Made by Neresheimer & Co of Hanau, import agent Berthold Muller. It has two sets of hallmarks, pseudo marks and also Chester import hallmarks for 1903. The box was made earlier around mid 19th century c1860.The style of decoration is typically Rococo revival often found in 19th-century German silver.
Attention to detail is outstanding.There is a long piano... hinge at the back which is in good working order.
The lid opens and closes securely. Overall, this is a very beautiful and exquisite piece, and very decorative in appearance. In excellent condition with no damage or repair.
