Lovely quality genuine 249 year old sterling silver example; a nice early sifter spoon with a large ornate hand pierced silver bowl and with a long silver handle decorated with an attractive engraved feather edge. It weighs approx 33 grams. Measurements Good size, measures approx 6.75 inches (170mm) in length; the bowl measures 2 inches (50mm) in diameter.Date English antique 18th Century Georgian solid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks for London 1771, (date letter "Q"). Lovely clear bottom struck marks, pre-dates the silver duty act of 1784 so no silver duty mark.Maker Silversmiths initials "G S", (George Smith - 1771 - 1788).Condition Good antique condition with no splits and no nasty knocks or dents, just has a couple of little period bowl repairs, honestly nothing much, totally all tight and secure and a lovely genuine 249 year old example with excellent hallmarks.
