I have for sale this heavenly French antique bonnet, possibly a boudoir bonnet but would be lovely for a large antique doll, when only the very best will do. I would think this delightful bonnet would date to the late 19th century. It has been lined with a salmon pink fine muslin that makes the exquisite embroidered tulle and applied silk cordwork really stand out. The frill brim goes all the way around the bonnet but going narrower for the nape of the neck. See photo's. The overall co...ndition of this antique bonnet is good commensurate with age with the exception of pale brown marks here and there from long term storage, I don't really think they detract much from this beautiful bonnet but emphasize it's historic authenticity. The diameter of the inside of the bonnet from under the brim is approx 18" or 46cms.
