Vintage, almost Antique tin toy
Chad Valley land speed record car...racing carTinplate car

c.1930's ....... clearly based around the typical land speed cars of the day, such as Malcolm Campbell's Blue Bird etc...nice large size at about 29 cm or just under 12 inchesLooks good in its blue and off white tin lithodriver figure still in cockpiti'm pretty certain it has the original tin disc wheels (noticed another example at ebay # 263944...560356 @£395)
clockwork / wind up mechanism .... still winds up and tensions the spring...wheels spin and car will drive alongcharming early racer, in nice original state...not been messed about with.still displays with appealing bright finish..... Now about 85 years old, so does show a little natural age and wear...scuffs, chips, scratches, surface marks etc... and odd oxide marking...BUT CERTAINLY NOTHING TERRIBLE.underside looks in fine shape, with all mechanism still clean and intact (I will try to include a key).nice solid car....not rotten
