Original pair 1872 pattern chevron of Cavalry yellow wool with three stripes delineated by chain-stitched black silk lines, and three horizontal stripes above. Includes two stripes with black chain-stitched borders as worn between 1872 and 1884 in recognition of the soldier's completion of one term of enlistment. One of these is slightly more narrow than the other. Both sets are in excellent condition.
