A terrific, really quite unique old butchers steel. The handle features an array of Perspex and Metal, perhaps Bakelite also spacers. This type of handle is seen to bespoke knives, often Theatre made Trench Art fashioned by soldiers during warts. The steel here has a rusted finish that should polish nicely if so desired- possibly a makers strike beneath> Probably an old Sheffield steel? The piece presets in fabulous condition.
