Vintage Rotary Telephone Signal Corps U.S. Army TP-6-A Wires should probably be replaced. I temporarily wired in a new phone wire and made a call to my wife's cell phone. Her phone rang, she answered and we were able to speak to each other. So the phone does work but the wires are in bad shape. Other than the wires, the phone looks pretty good. I believe someone has repainted it at some time. From other phones I've seen like it, I'm guessing its manufacture date to be somewhere ar...ound 1950. On the back of the phone it says "Signal Corps U.S. Army Telephone TP-6-A. Order #6509-Phila. -51-03 Conn. Tel. & Elec. Corp." On the bottom of the phone there is a wiring diagram.
