Vintage Bausch & Lomb Signal Corps U.S. Army Binoculars + Old Leather Case. Condition is Used. Not sure exactly what year these great old glasses are from, (WWI?), but they're still in pretty good shape, have both eyepieces still screwed in, good optics with both sides able to focus independently. They could use a good cleaning, but I'll leave that up to the new owner! As for the case, well it lost its lid somewhere along the way, and has a rather shabby edge ...along the top, and there is a flap of leather on the back that won't stay up but reveals someone's writing on the body of the case, "112th H.F.A.".The case still supports the binoculars nicely with both blocks still in the bottom to protect the eyepieces. The markings on the binoculars are as such: to the right of the right-hand eyepiece, there are two concentric circles with a triangle inside, that is stamped "Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. Rochester N.Y. U.S.A."; to the left of the left-hand eyepiece are two concentric circles stamped "Prism Stereo 6 power 30 mm APERT."; on the front of the binocs is stamped "Signal Corps U.S. Army" and "Serial No. EE 70693". There are numeric scales drawn on the bolt in the center as well as around both eyepieces. A great piece of US history!
