VERY RARE Authentic Confederate Snake Buckle From South Carolina CSA CS NICE !!!. You are looking at an authentic snake buckle that was purchased from the Beatenbough family in Anderson South Carolina. The lady said it had been passed down for many years and may have been her great grandfather’s. These buckles were often issued to Confederate officers and were transported from overseas by blockade runners during the Civil War. One can only imagine who wore it!!!
