Up for bid is an original WW2 German K98 Bayonet and Scabbard and Frog, with Matching Serial Numbers. This is one of the nicest original German WW2 bayonets I have come across. The blade is near mint condition, with almost all blued steel present. No dings, dents, or damage whatsoever and a perfect tip on the blade. The press catch works perfectly. Bakelite grips are tight and solid in the pommel. All clear markings on the ricasso. Very slight rust on the bayonet handle consistent w...ith the age of the piece. Scabbard shows some wear and some small surface rust, but the blade inserts smoothly and securely. Leather frog shows some wear consistent with the age of the pieces and completes the original set.A beautiful piece to add to your collection and hard to find a complete set in this condition with matching numbers!
