Here is an original silk map "Zones of France", second edition, marked at the bottom I.S.9 (WEA) MAR 44. it measures about 22" x 22". this is from the estate of a D-Day pilot but don't know if this was with him then here is some info on Col. Ray A. Robinson: In July 1942, during World War II, he went to the Panama Canal Zone and was assigned to the 36th Fighter Group which later went to England. While in the European Theater of Operations he participated in air combat missions over Ger...many and France and in the D-Day invasion, flying top cover in a P-47 aircraft. During the last six months of the war in Europe, he commanded the 53d Fighter Squadron in France and Germany. He completed 104 missions with a total of 350 combat hours. The map has been folded, has staining and some small "bug" bites in the upper right corner in the ocean blue area. Not in the best shape but a good original WWII piece.
