Original Description:
This is the larger version of the E.G. Waterman fighting/survival knife so popular with Marines and pilots in WW II. It measures 12 inches long with the 7 1/2 inch blade.
It has been sharpened, to the detriment of the notch near the tang. However, the other features and shape of the blade have been preserved.
Has the leather grips and steel ring on the pommel. The sheath is stamped 227s and I believe it to be original to the knife. The sheath is in very good condition with all ri...vets intact and the button snap. 
This is a great piece of military history in a rare, desirable size.
