Sheaffer black chased hard rubber lever lever filler. Correct smooth wet soft broad writing "Sheaffers 2 Self-Filling" open gold nib and feed. The iridium tip is flattened which usually means the iridium is mostly worn away. Very nice color and chasing. Deep early large "Sheaffer" barrel imprint with Pat Jan 27 Nov 14" followed by a large "9". The bottom line is "Fort Madison IA USA". No number on the end of the pen. Pen cap has no hole for a lanyard ring so is a true vest pocket model.... A very nice100+ year old early model. From my black pen collection. Writing sample taken bydip testing the nib.
