Original Description:
This auction is for a good - very good condition 16mm black and white print of the Popeye cartoon SYMPHONY IN SPINACH (1949). The print is complete from head to tail.  This print has the A.A.P. open and close.  I only counted one splice "no frames missing" splice in the body of the cartoon.  There is a splice just prior to the complete opening fade-in and another just after the complete fade-out.
The image is clean with just one to three very minor black lines off to ...the far left.  There are a few normal "film speckles" here and there, and a few brief sections with some additional wear (mostly near the beginning and ending), but overall, the image is very sharp and clean.  The sound is excellent.  There is no vinegar odor.  I'm sure you'll be pleased.
SYMPHONY IN SPINACH runs about 6:21 and is mounted on a nice, 400 foot plastic reel.  This film was carefully cleaned with Film Renew just before being listed for auction.  It's 100% ready to enjoy.
Photos with this listing are unretouched screen shots of the actual print.  Please forgive the limitations of my camera.
In this one, Olive puts an advertisement in Variety, seeking an accompanist for her music concerts.  Both Popeye and Bluto audition for the job, playing a wide variety of instruments and employing every tactic imaginable to woo her and dissuade the other!  Classic verbal and sight gags throughout!  Great stuff!
NOTE:  International bidders are required to use eBay's Global Shipping Program.
