This is a very interesting piece. A copper or bronze small bowl where the inside has been embossed in a floral pattern, then the outer shapes have been filled with coloured enamel, a technique called Cuerda Seca. Hard to date this bowl precisely, but looking at it and internet research would suggest late 18th or early 19th century and Middle Eastern, possibly Persian or Syrian in origin. I have viewed other pieces from this region and most seem quite similar.... Where this one differs slightly from most is the base is also enamelled with a blue and pink flower on a white background. The condition of the bowl I would describe as fair, with about 90% of the enamel in tact and some fading. Considering the piece could be upwards of 200 years old, its not bad for its age.The bowl stands approx. 2 inches (5cm) high and 5 inches (13cm) in diameter.
