Up for sale is this nice vintage kit cat klock made by Allied Manufacturing Co. in Seattle, Wash., 115 volt, 3 watt, 60 cycle with a No. 16875 manufacture number. Where the code should be on the back metal cover it is blank.
The cross piece which attaches the eyes has been repaired and a new peg was added in the slot where the eyes attach in the socket. Eyes move and work like they should.
The patent date on the motor is the same as on the back label 2.237.958; theref...ore, this is the original motor.
The tail has been replaced with the same type as original. Works and moves great.
Slight wear to paint around numbers.
Where the screws are to hold the works in place are not original (as pictured). The plastic insert holes for the screws that hold the motor in place are broken. The screws that you see hold the works in place, but could be improved.
There is a small chip of plastic broken on back of lower left of case when looking at the picture with the back off, but does not effect the clock.
Electric cord is not original. After running the clock for awhile we find that the hands do not move. The hour and minute hand touch at times. Even when they do not touch they are not working properly. Not sure how to fix this problem and do not want to break the plastic hands. We tried to send a short video of the eyes and tail moving but it would not take it. If you know a way and want to see it, let us know. In shipping, will take the tail off to ship.
