Beautifully originally preserved German War Naval Observatory Deck Chronometer with 35 hour reserve indicator, nickel-steel balance, Swan neck fine regulation device, cal. 48. ('"22).Open Face case, the case is signed and numbered inside the back lid, made of brass, the case is in very nice original condition. Case No 204 564.Silver plated original dial with up and down indicator, original blued steel spade hands. Hands and dial are in original condition, not touched or re-done.Glass, Plexiglas (original with some craze at 4-5).Diameter of the movement 48 mm, 55 mm case x 77 mm (including the bow), brand ALS 16 jewels, index spring fine adjustment device. Ebauche for Naval Observation Watch with up and down movement (power reserve display), 35 hours power reserve, rating certificate at production level 3 on Nov. 30, 1944. Based on the original german documents, which are attached to the Certificate, this particular timepiece was finished by Lange & Sohne and strangely enough in a brass case and not in the usual 0.900 Silver case as described in the generic original document (attached to the particular Certificate of authenticity from the Deutsches Uhrenmuseum Glasshutte). Original movement with silvered dial and spade hands, now in the case of the Observation Watch No. 204 564 by Comp. Lange, National Emblem (not touched or erased like most of the ones that survived the war, it is one of the rarest watch not de-nazified by the Bund at the end of WW2), case number 204 564 and KriegsMarine operation number M 14 796. Large 22'” Anchor Chronometer movement cal. 48 crafted in fine quality, 3/4 plate movement, frosted and signed, anchor escapement, swan neck fine adjustment device, Bimetallic gold screw balance, Signed A. Lange & Söhne Glashutte i.Sa, No 204 564. The very clean movement is running accurate and is in mint condition.Very rare superb original German KriegsMarine Observation chronometer. The watch is in mint condition, 100% genuine, accompanied by the certificate of the Watch museum in Glashutte, Stating the authenticity of the watch and copies of the original manufacturing documents from 1944 of the A.
