Additional movement glazing; the case is in fine condition with few signs of wear.Signed and numbered Louis Audemars anchor chronometer movement in best quality with extra-large chronometer balance, Breguet hairspring, screwed gold chatons and wolf toothing, finely angled and polished steel anchor escapement with balance weights in form of insect feelers. Case and movement are identical in number; the movement is in very nice working condition.Perfectly preserved two-piece signed enamel dial, radial Roman numerals. Original blued steel pear hands, very nice, working condition, very fine collector's watch.The movement is from the remaining stocks of Louis Audemars and was later sold by Audemars Fréres, a successor company founded by two sons of Louis Audemars after the liquidation of the company in 1885. It was common practice to sell these watches with reference to the past successes "Medailles Obtenues, Par L'Ancienne Maison Audemars Fondée En 1811" to take advantage of the very good reputation of Louis Audemars. More about this on page 195 in the "Audemars Book" by Hartmut Zantke. Identical movements are shown on page 294 and 301, it is assumed that this is the original Louis Audemars movement number, dated ca. 1873. The Moser company, based in St. Petersburg, was responsible for distribution for the Russian market.Diameter 54mm, weight 108g.
