Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Crown Trifari - Alfred Philippe, Vintage, Mid 1940's - Sterling Silver - Cabochons and Crystals - 1.75" Figural Butterfly Brooch.
VERY RARE! - EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION! - NO RESERVE! This gay and whimsical brooch dates from the mid 1940's, about 1944/45, of American make and origin, designed by 'Alfred Philippe' for 'Trifari' fashioned as a medium sized 1.75" by 1.25" figural butterfly accented with cabochon glass gems... and small faceted crystals with a rose gold gilding.
The brooch is in excellent vintage condition showing normal wear, all original crystals with none missing or replaced. There is a small loss to the gold washed finish on the brooch, this is very minor and does not detract in the least.
The brooch is marked on the back, some early Reja pieces pieces were not, but is guaranteed to be a Reja design. The brooch is marked on the back with a small crown and Trifari, Sterling and Pat. Pend.
