This is an antique pair of earrings that we date to the late 19th century; say 1890s through 1900s. They are made with 9ct gold with screw back fittings. Each has an open oval frame that is claw set with a hand carved cameo of a classical beauty. The earrings are marked 9ct for their 375 solid gold fineness. They were most likely an upmarket souvenir of a holiday to Naples as part of the Grand Tour.The earrings are in very good antique condition, no loss or damage to report, some ligh...t wear in keeping with age.
