Here's an early and rather scarce Felix for your cartoon character collection...Felix the Cat was created in the early 1920's by a creative New Jersey cartoonist, Otto Messmer. Felix, a creative and often mischievous character, entered show business during the silent movie days starring in Pat Sullivan's Feline Follies, and the rest is cartoon history....This mohair Felix was produced in England. It is mohair with glass eyes. This example is from the 1920's and f...or its age, it is in good condition. The head is jointed and easily rotates. He does show normal signs of age and use over the years. His tail is bare in places as shown in the accompanying photo. His left eye is discolored and may have been repainted. Again, please refer to the attached photos.He stands ~ 9" in height. This is a relatively rare toy, and is offered at a very reasonable price. It will make a great addition to anyone's collection of Felix or cartoon memorabilia. Please review all pictures carefully as they are considered part of the item description.
