Here is a monster sounding and smooth playing Les Paul Custom with all the quality and craftsmanship as his US made brother, without the hefty price tag. This baby will blow your socks off with how well it plays and sounds. Made at the famed Terada Factory, it has a slim 60's neck profile, mahogany body/neck, long neck tenon, and a solid, dark rosewood fretboard that almost look like ebony. The gold hardware has aged beautifully as you can see from the pictures. These guitars are favorites amongst gigging musicians for their quality, sound and overall playability. These guitars were made with the same features as the super expensive custom shop reissues, and as soon as you plug them in you can feel the quality of those Japanese replica PAF pickups, which deliver that super sweet vintage tone. Cosmetically, This guitar is in very good condition with minimal playwear. You will find a few super fine and mostly unnoticeable surface scratches on the back along with some tiny little dents and dings, which can be seen in the pictures. It also has a small scratch on the top by the binding where your arm would rest and a few micro finish chips on one corner of the headstock. Overall, it is in FANTASTIC cosmetic condition for a 31 year old guitar. It has been pictured honestly in outdoor lighting, so you can see almost every little blemish. Indoors or on stage it would look/photograph much cleaner, but I prefer to be honest and leave no surprises. This guitar truly is a beauty and has a striking appearance the moment the case is opened!
It has an invisible headstock repair, done by renowned luthier, and very well known replica burst builder, Steve Hague. If you are unfamiliar with his extraordinary work, a quick google search will bring up great examples and threads in the Les Paul forum. He has made guitars for many well known rockers and collectors. The repair itself is rock solid and looks great.
It has just been deep cleaned and detailed. The frets were dressed/polished and the fingerboard was cleaned. (Unfinished Rosewood and Ebony boards get treated with the magical Fret Doctor- a proprietary oil that is the best on the market) It was professionally set up and has brand new strings, the action was adjusted and it plays excellent. All the electronics work as they should.
