Here’s an interesting piece:
1924 RB-4, [probably originally a PB-4]with a very nice and accurately-reproduced 5-String neck by an unknown maker, probably in the 1980’s.10 1/2” rim with big tube tone-ring. Silver-plated hardware, somewhat tarnished.Old calf-skin head. Period Grover Geared Pegs.Neck is straight, un-played frets, low action.Banjo retains the usually-missing and hard-to-find hand-engraved tailpiece cover.
T...he Trap-Door itself is missing and lost to history;just as well, they’re often busted and most folks don’t think a trap-door adds much to the tone.Very cool idea and lovely to behold, but the concept has been consigned to irrelevance for the last 96 years.
Includes the original hard-shell case in beautiful condition.… fifth string peg just fits.This banjo is being offered in AS-IS and AS-FOUND Conditionwith No Returns.
