Up for sale is a very RARE BOTTLE bat made famous by the late great Cincinnati Reds Heine Groh (see bio and photo of Groh holding the Bottle bat style he made famous - very rare and very seldom found) unique style vintage baseball bat from the 1920's. The vintage circa baseball bat is made by M.R. Campbell, Inc. Model H (c) ACE trademark and “Oil Treated” very deeply stamped is the vintage sporting goods logo and oil treated deeply stamped under the oval ACE Camel - wow!! see Heine... Groh stats and major league records/performance below!!M.R. CAMPBELL, INC. Guaranteed Model HG trade Mark with wonderful large Camel logo with ACE deeply stamped and centered on the camel’s backhand made at their factory in Tullahoma, TN - very rare antique Circa and super heavy with NO cracks or brakes BOTTLE Groh style antique 1920’s Co. RARE base ball ball - wonderful. The logo is displayed wonderfully on the center of the vintage early antique 33 inch long baseball swatting stick (large robust end) and has the rare and unusual bottle or milk bottle top (see photos). The logo and sporting goods company is deeply engraved into the center of the bottle style bat (the barrel on this old antique is massive as seen and photoed). See several photos and close-up shots to better access the quality and unusual crafted bottle GROH style antique & thick and heavy designed bat end (as noted no breaks or cracks and the bat knob is in great shape as well). Very sturdy and incredibly heavy (not sure how these old baseball bruisers could swing this old baby! Groh even led the majors in doubles with this heavy and unusual swatting stick) and light brown and barely tapered until the bottle top barrel. The knob has a couple very minor chips and appears to have a screw in the end (not sure if this was factory produced or added by previous owner- definitely very old and period). The wood grain on the bat end is clean and staggered and the old wood grain displays great). Very old and unusual style-WOW! (please check out all of the photos). Rare and scarce, let alone finding one in this type if condition - check it out. The wood grain on the beaut is thick and clean and as you can see in the photos is very staggered thru out the head of the bat. The wood grain is is light tan in color. VERY Nice overall shape.
