VGC VOGUE GINNY DOLL STRUNG IN 1952 TINY MISS SERIES 40 WANDA BRUNETTE

Finding a great Brunette is hard and I don’t have many as I tended towards red heads and blondes. This VOGUE GINNY DOLL STRUNG is 1952 TINY MISS SERIES #40 WANDA. Condition is excellent. Outfit crisp and clean, non laundered red and green organdy dress and matching bloomers with elastic tight at legs but waist loose.It is a pinafore dress with cap sleeves with red band trim over white organdy hem and bodice band.It has a blue upturned straw hat with red berries still intact. Most d...ry out and crack. Chin strap is a little stretched. She has fat plaid bloomers that match.The center snap shoes are in good condition with original socks not as tight as new not nice. The shoe soles are smooth.It has no sign of a tag ever there. Some 1961-2 dress had no tag.The hook and eye are as original in tact with no rust. This is a transitional1952 strung doll with light brown lashes NOT turned. She has a very sweet gentle face with hot cheeks and overall bright look to her. Her brunette wig is soft, curly and a Center part with those partially glued down long bangs that cover most of her brows but her lashes are a soft brown.Vogue achieved the early 50s little girl look as one ready for church with her hat with two red cherries.The fat pants were meant to hold out the skirt but this one doesn’t need them as it is still holds out full all by itself. She’s been on a shelf in a closed case for most of her 70 years. She was one of my first Ginny gifts but not given to me to play with until 1954 and I only gently played with her but mostly kept her as one of my “show” dolls which is why her shoes are more worn than her dress or face.
