Herewe have a clean Vintage Patented STANLEY No. 48 Tongue & Groove (T&G) Plane, Type 1 (1876-1898). All moving parts operate smoothly. Japanning is at approx. 50%. The Rosewood Knob is in very good condition with no cracks or breaks but looks like a newer replacement. Just some minor nicks and scrapes to the metal parts of the plane. The body is marked 'STANLEY PAT. JULY 6. 1875' on the left side. The sole and mouth are in... very good clean condition with a few nicks here and there. The length of the sole is 8-3/4". The swiveling fence is 7-1/2" long and the spring loaded lock pin works as it should. The 2 small ( approx. 1/4" wide) blades are sharp but should be touched up before use. There are no owners marks. No cracks, breaks or repairs to this plane. ** Please remember to leave Feedback. I will gladly reciprocate. :-) Reg. Box A
