Printed autograph card signed by the former Du Pont President in 1944, while he was still serving on the board.
Signature: "4-22-44/Irénée du Pont", 5¼x3¼ card. Imprinted: "Autographed for the Collection of Russell E. Silvius" at upper margin.... Irénée du Pont (1876-1963), an MIT graduate, was President of duPont Corporation from 1919 to 1925. He remained a board member until 1958. In 1957, Fortune magazine listed him as one of the 20 wealthiest Americans, with a net worth between $200 and $400 million. He built a mansion called Xanadu in Veradero, Cuba. Staple holes and light paperclip impression at upper left corner. Fine condition.

Return Policy: If any substantial defect not described in the item listing is found by the purchaser, the item(s) must be returned within 3 days of receipt. Item(s) may not be returned except for reasons of authenticity or substantial defect in description. We warrant to the original purchaser for a period of ten (10) years from the date of the sale the authenticity of any autograph offered by HistoryForSale. This warranty is limited to a refund of the purchase price upon the return of the merchandise to our parent company Gallery of History in satisfactory condition.
