Dunhill's shape 112 is a classic, the highly sought after straight Apple! This one a Patent Bruyere from 1948 is absolutely mint and shows very light use. Another quintessentially English shape it is lightweight and well balanced and perfect for clenching. The rounded bowl sits comfortably in hand and carries relatively thick walls surrounding a modest chamber. Shank is thick at the transition and then tapers to meet the original fishtail stem with crisp white spot. Some of these older... fishtail stems are awesome as the fishtail is much more pronounced than your standard one. Finish is classic Bruyere, deep warm and inviting burgundy/red while the wood shows tons of tight tiny birdseye on the left with perfect radiating starburst on the right. A very well grained Dunhill and in this condition for the most discerning collector! This pipe carries the stamp "-120" which I have also seen on Parker's from the same era and earlier. I am unsure what it indicates but every pipe I have seen it on sure has been an exceptional one!
