N.B. Please note that this is a tiny item. The pencil is an ordinary one.A 1:12 scale four poster canopy bed, complete with hand made quilt, bedding and pillows. I believe that the bed has been made from the House of Miniatures Chippendale canopy bed kit, which is a design from around 1750 - 1790. The bed is strung with "rope" and has a foam mattress, there is a white cotton plain sheet, a pale blue lace trimmed top sheet with two matching pillows, a hand made patchwo...rk quilt with broderie anglais trim and a canopy cover with matching trim. There are some condition issues. The canopy has a brown pen line across the top of it, shown in the last photo. The bedding was very dusty when I received it so I washed it all gently but there has been some colour bleed from the dark blues of the quilt onto the plain cotton backing, shown in the seventh photo. This is not noticeable from the front of the quilt. The plain sheet is nicely white but the broderie anglais trim and the canopy are off-white, aged looking cotton. The pillows are fairly crudely sewn up... There are a few small blotches on the bed frame where I suspect there was some excess glue before it was stained (the old conundrum - glue or stain first?).
