Original Description:
Sasieni's "St. Andrews" is a very curious shape as history shows two versions. In the 1930's it was a long Dublin shape but come the 1940's and beyond it was totally changed to this unique quarter bent Skater. It's a truly special shape with a large bowl with almost 3/8" wide walls and comes down to a rounded crease at the base of the front. The chamber is deep and wide providing for a long cool smoke. The bowl has excellent hand-feel not only due to the shape but the texture of the ru...stication. Shank is quite wide, thick and oval with a slight drooping bend and meets the original Four baby blue Dot saddle vulcanite stem with tapered bit. The XS stamp indicates a larger and higher premium priced pipe at original retail and it's no surprise! The finish is super dark and almost looks like Morta while the rustication follows the natural grain of the briar showing starburst on the left and sweeping cross and flame on the right. This is hands-down one of the finest and most unique shaped Sasieni Four Dot Rustics I've had the pleasure of offering.

Dimensions: 5 3/4" Long, 2 1/4" Tall, 7/8" Chamber Width, 1 3/4" Chamber Depth
Condition: Excellent. Briar and chamber are mint. Stem has flecks of oxidation and a very small deformity on the right side of the crease of the button from when it was made but should not be felt and is purely aesthetic. Overall superb! Weight: 54g
