For sale is this breathtaking antique Middle Eastern hand chased solid silver tray. This beautiful work of art has been completely chased by hand.
In the centre of the tray, there is a charming scene portraying a three figures. One is on horseback approaching a seated young man and an elder. The level of detail to this scene is truly remarkable. The attention to detail to the facial details, the clothing, the horse and surrounding trees and foliage, is unbelievably fine.
The ...central scene has been beautifully framed in an arabesque border. The four corner areas of the tray have been hand chased with beautifully dense foliage along with scenes of lion attacking deer - very dramatic indeed!
This is an extremely decorative tray with a truly beautiful and charming design all completed by hand.
It has been tested and is guaranteed to be high grade solid silver. It is signed by "Parvaresh" at the back as well as hallmarked with "84" for the purity. The Parvaresh family were a very famous family of "Qalamzans" which basically means hand chasers. This masterpiece was one of their works. The family also made many specially commissioned pieces for the Royal Family as well as for government officials, some of which were gifted to other foreign officials or special guests. Size The size of the tray is 37.2cm x 26.8cm.
The tray weighs a very impressive 839.5 grams.

For international postage I use a variety of well-known and trusted couriers such as FedEx, UPS and Parcelforce for the larger and heavier items. Smaller items are usually sent with Royal Mail Airsure or Royal Mail International Signed For delivery. Domestic items are normally posted with royal mail Special Delivery or a courier such as UPS if it is larger and heavier.
