RARE 1908-11 Antique Baseball Bat Spalding Gold Medal Autograph MIKE J DONLIN. After further research and much appreciated help from others, it was determined that this is a Professional model bat. The length is 33 3/4” long. The wood appears to be hand turned and the knob is not stamped Spalding, which is the case of Spalding Store model bats of that era.
This beautifully made Antique Spalding bat is in unbelievable condition. It was just purchased from an estate on the Oregon C...oast. The 85 year old gentleman said it was a family heirloom and was always taken great care of. There are NO chips, cracks or splits. The barrel of the bat is straight. The wood used in crafting this bat has a beautiful golden honey color. The grain of the wood is hard to show in the pictures but is absolutely amazing.
