Housed in an impressive, heavy 19th century Empire style fluted cove gilt frame, this is one stunning piece o...f original artwork. The scene depicts a wooded landscape against a hilly backdrop with two figures who appear to be conversing to one and another.
☑️ CONDITION.The work is in a very good to an excellent antique condition. The canvas has been relined a long time ago and displays a good level of clarity and saturation. There is some light fading of the medium on some areas of the sky, while light craquelure can be seen throughout. The frame is in a very good antique condition with small losses, signs of restoration and accumulated dust.
