OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS, I WILL BE LISTING SOME VERY DECORATIVE, UNUSUAL AND STYLISH ITEMS OF ENGLISH, AMERICAN, CONTINENTAL AND CHINESE EXPORT SILVER.Up for auction is a very pretty FRENCH 950 pure solid silver COFFEE POT of large size, signed c.1900.This beautiful French coffee pot has a swirl fluted body with APPLIED ROSES. There is a panel with APPLIED SUNFLOWERS and SCROLLS. Either side of this panel has 2 APPLIED SHIELDS with owner's initial.THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL COFFEE POT.The cof...fee pot is hallmarked to the UNDERSIDE, BASE EDGE and COVER with MINERVA 950 PURE (purer than sterling) and a BADLY STRUCK MAKER'S MARK IN A LOZENGE. This is made c.1900.The coffee stands approx. 10.5 inches high (27cm) and measures 8.5 inches (21.5cm) end of handle to tip of spout. The coffee pot weighs approx. 830 grams (26.68 troy ounces).CONDITION : ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT.
