This is a fabulous original vintage mineral globe in a wonderful rotating brass gimbal cradle and a compass in the bass.
It is made from minerals and semi-precious stones, such as lapis lazuli, jasper, turquoise, moss and other a...gates, tiger's eye and Australia is made from abalone shell.
It is a really interesting and very cool display item. A wonderful educational tool, though some of the country names are a little out of date because its from the 1980s/90s and none of the countries are especially accurate in shape. Its all about style with this piece.
It would look especially good in a man cave or home office or snug. Perfect for any stylish home and it would make a great gift for a collector.
And it could be the ideal prop for any production set in the 1970s or 80s.
In EXCELLENT vintage condition, with only very minor signs of age and use. Please remember it is at least 30 years old and please see all photos. (Kitten not included.)
