Joanies is very excited to be offering a large four-day important family estate collection. This prominent family of Doctors resided in China between 1890-1960 and during this time acquired a vast array of rare and important objects that have never been offered until now. This includes a vast array of Asia...n art examples, fine jades, snuff bottles, bronzes, porcelain, important Archaic works, and more.
A number of the items being offered were scheduled to be sent to New Yorks’s high end auctions, but due to large sale delays this year the estate had asked us to offer All the items. A great and rare opportunity to acquire some investment-grade examples.
Over the past 20 years Joanies has hosted Hundreds of estate auctions, auctioning upwards of a hundred thousand fine estate items during this time. And during this entire time Joanie's has Never had a Reserve on one item ever! Up for auction is a ANTIQUE CHINESE WHITE JADE SILVER CORAL TURQUOISE MOON VASE FORM SNUFF BOTTLE.Part of an important estate collection being offered this week that includes an impressive variety of fine antique snuff bottles and jades.
A fine antique moon flask or disc form silver and stone mounted snuff bottle. We believe this unique snuff bottle would date 100 or so years old. The bottle is finely mounted in silver with orange coral, turquoise, and Amethyst stone cabochon jeweling. The bottle came from state with this nice silk lined storage box that is included. We have included an image taken outdoors in natural sunlight and as a group for color comparison.
Condition: Very fine, light natural inclusions to jade the snuff bottle has no damage or repairs. UV light also reveals no hidden damage or repairs.
Size: The snuff bottle including lid measures 3 1/4 inches tall by 2 3/8 inches wide and 3/4 inches thick, weighing 70 grams.
