Period: Georgian c1780.
Dimensions: shorter pair approx 290mm tall (11 1/4 inches).
Hallmarks: unmarked.
Condition: Good, considering age, with a few minor condition issues. There is a looseness to one of the tops where the capital meets the column (see photo 8) and can be slightly lifted or twisted. A few tiny spots of old solder in places. Dings, dents and surface scratches. Warm copper tones bleeding through on raised parts, candlesticks possibly re-plated at some point. Light tarnishing that will polish off. Wear commensurate with age and use. Please see photos and do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
Notes: Superb pair of 18th Century candlesticks in the Adam style.
