Period: George III c1775.
Dimensions: approx 280mm / 11 inches tall.
Hallmarks: unmarked.
Condition: Very good, considering age. A slight lean to both candlesticks, one more pronounced than the other. Some dings and surface scratches. Attractive warm copper tones bleeding through on raised parts. Some tarnishing, especially in the grooves, will polish off if preferred. Nozzles are later Victorian replacements, plate all but worn away, some verdigris, tarnish and chips (photo 9) but fit the style and sconces OK. Wear commensurate with age and use.
