Circa 1885 Kyser & Rex Rooster cast iron mechanical bank. 
This is an antique bank and not a reproduction.  It is 100% original except the spring and lever inside the bank might be later replacements. Green grass with red and yellow highlights appear at the base of the bank. There is no re-paint and no cracks. 
The bank functions perfectly.  Set coin in the slot in the rooster's tail and slowly move the lever downward.  The rooster moves his head and ...opens his beak in a crowing motion as the coin falls into the bank.
