Fine set of 2 Old porcelain mantle vases. Some 22KT gold leaf embellishments highlight the hand-painted floral relief decoration on the front, sides, and rims of these. This is a fine antique American porcelain white botanical vase, circa 1800's. Sculptural type leaves on either side of this fine antique vase make it a highly collectable set. Condition is excellent and these have had very safe keeping in a display cabinet through the years. There are no chips, knicks, or fading. Please... observe in the photo there is an imperfection when these were likely fired, it is a black line on the rim of the one vase. There is no makers mark or identification, besides N1 in gold on the underside of each of these. Measure 11" high x 6.5" widest point x 4.25" deep. Please observe there is historical documentation in an original hand written letter and were purchased in July 1893. Letter was found in an envelope inside the vase and is included with the sale. These were likely a traditional wedding gift given to a bride with a sprig of flowers on her wedding day, offering good fortune. Beautiful in Country and formal French rooms, add a touch of royalty to your favorite room!
