Up for auction is an antique brass microscope by R & J Beck London ca 1880-1884, serial #12156. It is also stamped, "W.H Walmsley & Co Philadelphia. Sole American Agents." It is in good working order and in original condition. The mirror is somewhat degraded, which is visible in the photo, but it still reflects enough light so that the microscope works. One of the two pins that holds down the slide is a bit loose, but that can be fixed pretty easily, I think.This is a lovely in...strument that hasn't been polished, and is all original.
