Antique Salzard Violin with Case and Bow. I got this originally with the intention of stringing it up for myself but have decided to let it go. I play other stringed instruments but not violin so I am not overly familiar. It is a Salzard branded (Not France, but German) and had mechanical tuners put on it at some point in its history. A previous owner had painted both the fret board and some parts of the violin itself along with the bow with green and gold paint. Ther...e are not issues with condition as far as I can tell. No cracks or separation of any kind. The case appears to read 1819 painted in lacquer but I am not sure it is from that year. It is a lovely looking instrument but since I myself don't play and never got it set-up I can not attest to the sound. The bow is Snakewood with what appears to be an ivory frog.
