This listing is for signed 19th century French holy water font with green jasperware medallion and in gilt brass mounts. The wall hanging font measures 4 3/4 inches or 12 cm high and is 3 inches or 7.6 cm at its widest.The holy water font features a green jasperware medallion at the top of the font. It features a figural portrait of St. Mary with a crescent moon and clouds below her. The medallion is mounted in gilt brass with laurel leaf border and an open work design at the top with... a heart and cross with flowers. The piece has a crystal clear font at the front which is all hand blown. Please note this was photographed on a clear plate stand which makes the piece appear to have feet, but it does not.The condition is very good.
