Original Description:
2 great collectible SCORPION BOWLS from Harvey's Casino in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. I don't know the vintage of these but they may date to the earlier days of the casino which opened its doors in 1944. They are ceramic bowls and they're in great condition considering their age and material. The only issue I've seen is a tiny flake on the inside of the rim on the larger piece. It's about 1/8". They were designed specifically for a drink named the Scorpion Bowl. It's an alcoholic tiki drink m...eant to be shared through straws. The vessels are also called Scorpion Bowls and they're generally decorated with hula girls and exotic motifs. The large bowl has a topless hula girl while the girl on the smaller piece is more modest. The drink is rum based and is easily found on the web. These will be a nice addition to a collection of casino or tiki memorabilia!
