we are happy to accept payment by cheque, bank transfer or cash on collectiona very fine liberty & co cymric silver and enamel vesta case, it is of superb quality and would have been sold through the liberty & co store in londons regent street as part of their cymric range, there were several designers using this medium of design and decoration during this era, amongst those the most notable were, archibald knox, bernard cuzner, rex silver, jessie m kin...g, murrle bennett, charles horner and james fenton.it would have been produced by haselers of birmingham, these were the only silversmith making for libertys and produced the cymric silver ware range plus the tudric pewter range, it is a very rare and desirable piece marked with the distinctive WHH lozenge for the maker plus the full assay office marks for birmingham date letter p for 1914 it has a lovely enamelled boss which is in good order, the hinge is in working order and closes with a solid snap, lifting the lid reveals the interior which retains much of its original gilding so it is a stunning example of a functional piece which is over 100 years old and as such may have some very minor signs of age & use as befits a functional piece of this era, it measures 2" square so a fine size for display , please feel free to ask any questions and i will reply within 24hours, this is a genuine piece and should not be mistaken for the unmarked copies and reproduction items offered on ebay.postage is by special delivery in the u.k and airsure or signed for to international destinations.
