we are happy to accept payment by cheque or bank transferan extremely nice example of an early cymric art nouveau silver & turquoise buckle, designed by Oliver Baker, it was produced in the art nouveau jugendstil secessionist era in 1900's at the same time as the german firms of wmf, kayserzinn and orivit were producing similar pieces of art nouveau pewter, made by William Hair Haselers of Birmingham for the liberty & co cymric ware range, (they also made t...he tudric range of pewter ware) and is easily recognisable as coming from the iconic designs of archibald knox and others, the silver is in a gently polished condition with no discernible damage or repair, the two natural turquoise matrix is still present and in good order, the overall condition should be consider as superb so a really pretty display piece measuring 2.25" x 2" and fully marked to the back with full assay office marks for Birmingham, date letter a for 1900, it carries the L&Co mark in addition to the assay office stamps, it is over100 years old and as such has signs of age and commensurate of a functional piece of its age, if you require any further information, please send an e-mail and I will get back to you.
