It has the original grey "virgin ...vinyl" cover with front pocket where the power cord and instructions are stored with the microphone is stored in the side panel (see picture). I do not have any tapes to test so you are buying it as is but it powers up and the forward and reverse works as does the speed control. FREE SHIPPING APPLIES ONLY TO Local Pickup. All others must pay shippingAfter going back to test the unit again I noticed that the "Play" and "Record" buttons are now locked and not releasing so I cannot push them down any more. There is a metal lock/unlock mechanism intended to lock and unlock them which worked the other day when I initially listed it but it won't unlock them now (see picture of lock). It powers up and reverse and fast forward work fine. It is in very good structural condition for it's age. It allows 2 different speeds 3 3/4 and 7 1/2.It is very heavy at 22 pounds and packed up the estimated shipping weight is 25 pounds with estimated box dimensions of 16” X 14" 16".
