Informational canvas map placing the names of Native American tribes to the regions they lived in pre-colonization of the Americas. This map was made by Aaron Carapella, a Cherokee mapmaker, and includes the names of tribes written in both English and the individual languages of each tribe. This map has only been unrolled once and is in excellent condition. There is some wrinkling on one corner which will be much less apparent once framed. Carapella’s map is an excellent ed...ucational resource, one which points towards a history of colonization and begins to remember the cultures that were lost when Columbus made contact.
