w/5 Panels
* Although there are 2 doors available, the list price is for 1 door only. If you are planning on buying only 1 door please email us after the auction to let us know which door(s) you'd like. The first 3 photos show Door#1 and last 3 show #3.Elegant, antique, interior doors salvaged from an old, home in Olyphant, PA. These doors were ori...ginal to the home's construction and the home was built during the first half of the previous century. The doors are made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and are completely painted. Each door weighs about 45lbs, which is considerable for their size (new doors weigh about 40% less)When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. They have a traditional, 5 stacked, horizontal panel arrangement. The panels are raised on both sides.Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store).* If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote.Uneven Width: The width of Door#3 was unevenly cut at some point by 1/4". The cut was mostlikely to compensate for the building's settling foundation or a warped floor. We could cut it to an even 29 3/4", cut narrower and/or shorter, or even build up to make it bigger--email us for a quote.Condition: Door#3 has a crack spanning across one of its panels and Door#1 has a small break in 2 of its lower corners. The crack of Door#3 could be puttied/filled prior to sanding. Both doors are strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. They have the typical nicks, scrapes, and scratches that you would expect to find on an old, used door, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes will disappear after sanding, priorto refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks." The doors are ready for another lifetime of service!Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the doors to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photo in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.Swing: Door#1 is set up to swing into a room, towards the left or away from the room towards the . Door#1 swings in the opposite direction. We could change the swing of any door--email us for a quote.Modification: Do you want to make a pair using both doors? Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.Dimensions:Door#1:
