19th C Antique Majolica Tobacco Leaf Plate Schaumburg Germany. Attribution to Isidore Faist who owned the Schaumburg Factory from 1818-1883 this is from the mark on the bottom. There is a dot in the center and held in the light just right lines come out forming a star. This is hard to see , but once understood easier. Factory was bought in 1883 by Villeroy & Boch. Excellent Condition wear consistent with age small chips as can be expected. Thick glaze show normal craze lines. All in al...l the colors are vibrant great luster and contrast.
